I don't like christmas. Well, it's not that I don't like christmas, I just don't really care about it that much anymore.
At least not this year. And the year before that. And the year before that. I pretty much stopped getting excited over chritmas when I hit my teen years. I just dont get what there is to look forward to on christmas. Even the presents don't excite me anymore. And the christmas carols! Oh my God, the christmas carols constantly playing everywhere you go - malls, restaurants, etc - is driving me insane. It actually makes me angry. Especially Jingle Bells. It's worse than listening to Rihanna. I happen to hate Rihanna with a passion btw.
Christmas is a christian holiday cause we're celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. So I have a question. Where the hell did the christmas tree and frosty the snow man come from!? As for Santa, story goes that he was Saint Nick and he used to donate presents to children who couldn't afford them on christmas so he has an excuse. But the christmas tree? Did some guy just say, "oh my goodness, Jesus was born today! Let's go decorate a tree!"? And as for frosty, I dont know why but I hate that guy! Since I was a kid, I could never really like him much. I wish we had winter here so I could watch that snowy asshole melt in the spring.
Yes, it's official. I've lost my mind.

In my previous post, I said that the search for the Fort Margherita turned out to be a crazy/ torturous/ hilarious day. The things we went through looking for the Fort Margherita in the blazing afternoon heat for hours and we ended up not getting there. Well, this time we did. :D
Ray, Phoebe and I rode the sampan again to get to the same place except this time the old sampan man told us which deck to go to and dropped us off at the deck. What a niiiiiiiice sampan man. He took just the 3 of us and I'd like to believe it's cos we're special and not because we agreed to pay 2 bucks for a 50 cent sampan ride.
Walked up a muddy slope and found the Margherita Fort. Went to go see Ranee Margherita's grave which was right in front of the fort. She was one of the Brooke's wives. They built the fort while they dominated Sarawak. They had canons, jail cells, watch towers, windows made to shoot enemies and huts where they hung people. It was really cool. Explored the whole place.

EDIT//
Fucking. Crazy. Day.
Went out with Ray so of course it was a crazy day. My 12-year- old cousin, Sam is staying here for the week so she tagged along. Explored the streets of Kuching city. On foot. We were walking around for almost 8 hours today. My feet hurt so bad right now.
Went to 4 museums today. Its just a thing Ray and I do. She took me to a museum for the first time in my life this year. We bailed on our physics project and walked to the museum. So random. HAHAH. Went to Mcds for lunch. I hate making decisions cos I'm so damn indecisive even when it comes to the smallest things like picking lunch. Spent 15 minutes trying to decide what to order.
Went to Water Front after that to ride the sampan. Yes, sampan. Don't give me that look, they're cool okay. Its a five minute ride and it only costs 40 cents. It takes you across the river to this other part of Kuching we've never been to and that place is a tad bit secluded. We went looking for the Margarita Fort so we were walking on the sidewalk in the blazing afternoon heat for almost two hours and almost every car that drove by honked, waved or slowed down. Guys in Kuching do that a lot. Even the gross middle aged ones with the beer gut and creepy smiles. eeyuck.
Passed by a skinny old man sitting in his boxers by the bushes digging through this small case and smoking something that was definitely not a cigarette and he seemed high when he wanted to talk to us. We assumed he was a junkie. We ignored him and walked ahead quickly then turned around to find him following us a few feet behind but he disappeared eventually. :S We kept looking behind us every few minutes after that in case the momok man decided to make a reappearance. I was actually a little scared for a minute cos no one knew where we were and we didn't know anyone there and you have to cross a damn river to get back to the city.
We kept walking and walking and walking and partially dying of heat stroke but still couldn't find the Margarita Fort despite asking for directions a couple of times. Finally a security guard told us where to go but there were creepy looking indonesian workers at a construction site we had to pass by who started smiling and whistling at us and that place was pretty secluded and we didn't want to risk possibly getting kidnapped so we turned around and sat down on the pavement. Decided to sit there for a while before heading back to the city.
An approaching car slowed down behind us so we stood up and quickly walked away but then realized he slowed down to pick his friend up. We're not perasan okay, we're just paranoid. Haven't you ever heard of news reports of 4 men jumping out of a car and grabbing girls and the next thing you know, those girls bodies are found in pieces in bags behind the bushes? And its not like malaysian police ever find the murderers. I dont know about you but I'd be really pissed off if my murderer got off scot free.
Went to Rupert Rage after that. Its a really cool skate shop. The guys working there usually intimidate me cos they know so much about skating and about bands, I tend to feel like kind of a loser but they talked to me today and they're actually really funny. They're really loud too. They're constantly yelling profanities at each other and were repeating "we have emo, froddo, and speedo" which made them all crack up with laughter every single time. HAHAH.
Wandered around the city after that. Oh, and of course Ray and I almost got run over by cars numerous times as usual since we both dont know how to cross roads. We literally run across roads screaming. Decided to call it a day when we were all complaining that our feet were almost going numb.
